We have taken a radically common sense approach to quality control, in line with the labor costs of the China market: We inspect every part we source or produce.
We believe that random sampling leaves too many hiding places for defective products, and use sampling only as a means to determine whether a shipment will be returned to vendor before the full inspection or not.
Our quality check depends on the form, fit and function of the parts, but the following are minimum checks for everything that leaves our plant:
• Visual inspection
Check for discoloration, deformities, damage
• Fit check
Assemble with mating part on the line
• Function Check
Replicate end use of the project for a couple of cycles
We back up the common sense approach with SPC, PPAP, material certification, third party lab testing, in house dimensional checks, durometer, and pull strength testing. |
